Manchester United have already suffered their first injury blow of the new season, as Andre Onana is ruled out of the club’s pre-season tour.
This is according to The Atheltic who revealed on Saturday that the 29-year-old has picked up a hamstring injury that will put him out of action for several weeks.
The Red Devils will start their pre-season friendlies with a contest against Leeds United in Sweden on July 19. This fill be followed by three meetings against fellow Premier League clubs ( West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton), as part of their American tour.
Afterwards, they will host Fiorentina at Old Trafford in their final pre-season friendly, before the real action begins.

United will kickstart their Premier League campaign with an immediate major tilt against Arsenal at OT on August 17, and the source reveals that Onana might be forced to skip this one, leaving Ruben Amorim with a major headache.
The Cameroonian hasn’t necessarily been a reliable presence between the sticks on all occasions, but he remains the club’s undisputed No. 1. Therefore, the Portuguese tactician would be loath to replace the former Inter Milan star, especially with Altay Bayindir failing to fully convince over the past couple of seasons.
Could Man United bring in a new goalkeeper?
Nevertheless, the report notes that Man Utd might end up signing a new goalkeeper this summer. But at this stage, this would likely be a replacement for Bayindir rather than a new Number One who takes over from Onana.
That being said, the former Ajax custodian’s exit shouldn’t be completely ruled out just yet. As exclusively reported by Stretty News earlier this week, Onana has attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League, albeit none of his suitors has made a concrete move.
Man Utd have set their price at £30 million, as they cannot afford to sell the Cameroon international for a lower figure, given that they forked out £47.5 million to buy him from Inter two years ago.
