Georgia Bulldogs fans won't be able to do one of the UGA's top gameday traditions this week vs. Marshall
Georgia Bulldogs fans won't be able to do one of the Dawgs' best traditions for the Marshall Thundering Herd game. The University of Georgia's Chapel Bell currently is undergoing repairs and won't be available for fans to ring. Traditionally, Georgia fans ring the bell to celebrate football victories or other accomplishments.
The Chapel Bell is located on the back of the UGA Chapel and is on the north side of campus near the Arch and the North Campus Quad. Georgia began using the bell at its current location in 1913.
"We are disappointed to report that the University of Georgia’s Chapel Bell is temporarily out of service while undergoing necessary structural repairs," UGA said via its official social media account. "For safety, the area immediately surrounding the bell will be fenced off during this time."
Their is currently no timeline for the repairs, but Georgia fans and students hope it will be back to normal as soon as possible.
"We know how meaningful the Chapel Bell is to our community, and we are working to complete these repairs quickly so everyone can safely take part in this cherished tradition again soon," UGA added.

Georgia's next home game is against Austin Peay on Saturday, Sept. 6. After that, the Bulldogs don't play at home until the Sept. 27 game against Alabama.
Georgia fans will still be able to attend another one of UGA's top traditions, the Dawg Walk, which starts at 1:15 p.m. ET.
