LeBron James made a bizarre post.
LeBron James' Morning Social Media Post Is Puzzling Fans on Thursday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The 2025 offseason has brought about mixed results for the Los Angeles Lakers. While they signed a potential starting center in Deandre Ayton, they lost Dorian Finney-Smith, one of the key defenders on the roster.
There are avenues to improve the roster before the 2025 season tips off in October, something the franchise will have to do given they need to give Luka Doncic a reason to sign a new contract and because LeBron James opted into his contract option for what could be a final year in LA.
Regardless, he's a devoted Laker and LA resident right now. That seems to be reflected in a morning social media post on X, where James sends a message to his fans in Spanish, leaving them confused.
¡Benito! Estoy en el aeropuerto de Los Ángeles ahora mismo, ¡voy a verte! Me enteré de lo que tienes planeado para mañana por la noche. 👀. LFG! 🔥🔥🔥🫡

"LeSpanish," said one fan, reacting simply to this out-of-character Spanish post from James.
"El Bron reporting for duty,"remarked one fan hilariously.
"Of course the GOAT can speak fluent Spanish. There's nothing he can’t do," said one overzealous LeBron fan.
"What the...," said another stunned fan.
"Bro put this in Google Translate," said another fan, mocking the authenticity of the post.
"Ayton is still waiting for your text...," said one Lakers fan, referencing the report that James is yet to reach out to new teammate Ayton.
This post could likely be a way to promote a Bad Bunny concert in Puerto Rico, one that James is expected to attend. His message saying he's at the LA Airport indicates he's about to travel, so this is the most likely explanation.
LeBron is confirmed to return for a record-breaking 23rd season in the NBA, which will be his eighth with the Lakers. There will be intrigue around his future plans for most of next season, primarily regarding how much longer he will keep playing. His family's opinions will likely weigh on his decision.
He averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists last season and made the All-NBA team, so it's clear James isn't slowing down anytime soon.
