According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived center Joe Michalski. The undrafted rookie from Oklahoma State signed as a college free agent earlier this year and has competed for a backup interior line spot throughout training camp.
Michalski went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft following a six-year college career at Oklahoma State, where he was a battle-tested team captain for his last two seasons. He appeared in 59 games overall, having played at center and guard and was strong in run blocking and pass protection.
The Broncos are extremely weak at center. I’m not sure if that makes Michalski joining the practice squad more likely or less likely considering he could not push the depth chart at a position that is already considered fairly weak. Klis says they want him back on the practice squad, so it sure sounds like they’ll be looking to bring him back after he clears waivers.
