Stay on top of the scores all day with the Golfweek/USA TODAY Tour Championship leaderboard. Also note that the "starting strokes" format is no longer the deal at the Tour Championship. That staggered start concept, first deployed in 2019, was killed off in May. All 30 golfers in the field started the week at level par.

Second-round tee times moved up due to weather concerns

Just after 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, the PGA Tour announced that the Friday tee times will start at 8 a.m. ET. That's in comparison to the 11:16 a.m. ET start time that they had for the Thursday round.

Who's leading the 2025 Tour Championship after the first round?

That would be Russell Henley, who shot 61 on Thursday and leads Scottie Scheffler by two shots. Those two are in the final round Friday. There is a five-way tie for third behind them and then a four-way tie for eighth, a group that includes Rory McIlroy.

What does the winner of the 2025 Tour Championship get?

The first-place prize at East Lake is $10 million. That's a big change from previous years, where the 2024 Tour Championship winner (Scottie Scheffler) banked $25 million. The PGA Tour spread out $100 million in "bonus" money across the season. The winner is also named the FedEx Cup champion. He will receive a five-year PGA Tour exemption as well.
