Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is a player who never seems to be too far away from transfer speculation.
This is the result of the Italian international’s reputation as one of the top defenders in European football.
Therefore, plenty of clubs have taken an interest in Bastoni’s signature.
Reportedly, Chelsea have been dreaming of signing the 26-year-old.
Meanwhile, clubs in Saudi Arabia have also reportedly been monitoring Bastoni. Convincing Simone Inzaghi to give up high level football for big money has perhaps emboldened them.

However, the Gazzetta report, Bastoni himself is hardly fuelling any transfer rumours.
The 26-year-old has always made his own stance abundantly clear. He only wants to stay at Inter.
Therefore, the newspaper anticipate, Inter are ready to begin talks to extend Bastoni’s contract.
The Italian international’s current deal runs until the end of June 2028.
However, Inter will meet with Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti in the autumn, the Gazzetta report. They are aiming to extend his deal until 2029 with the option of a further year, or until 2030.
Bastoni currently earns €5.5 million net per season. However, Inter plan to hand him a new deal with higher wages to reflect his importance to the team and ward off big money suitors.
