Three members of the UConn Football program were named to the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl Top 300 watch list on Wednesday morning, the organization announced.

The three Huskies to make the list are running back Mel Brown, and wide receiver Skyler Bell, both of which transferred into the program a little over a year ago.

RB Mel Brown

The Georgia native joined the Huskies following two seasons at Gardner-Webb (2022-23), where he appeared in 19 games and rushed for 870 yards and 10 touchdowns on 160 total carries. Moving on to his time in Storrs, Brown had a productive 2024 season as both a running and a return specialist. He ran the ball 118 times for 673 yards (5.7 ypc) and two touchdowns. He also had eight receptions for 85 yards and another score. Like mentioned above, he was also a return specialist for UConn, as he returned 17 kicks for 495 yards and one touchdown, while finishing second in the nation with 29.1 yards per return.

WR Skyler Bell

Bell also joined the program last season, but he was coming in from Wisconsin where he spent the past three seasons. During his time with the Badgers, he played in 26 games and hauled in 69 receptions for 755 yards and six touchdowns. After that is when he really took off, as his first season with UConn was his best yet, hauling in 50 receptions for a team-high 860 yards and five scores.

The duo combine to make up for two of the 19 total prospects throughout all the Group of Five schools to make the Top 300 Senior Bowl watch list.
