A number of fans also speculated that Clark may have stayed back to support her boyfriend, Connor, after the reported passing of his grandmother.

“On Connor's Instagram it looks like he had a death in his family, so I think Caitlin is supporting them. Prayers for them,” another posted.
That reasoning, however, remains unconfirmed. Neither Clark nor the Fever have made any official statement regarding her absence.
