The Indiana Fever were looking to snap a two-game losing streak, led by head coach Stephanie White.
Indiana has been playing the majority of the season without Caitlin Clark, who has missed time due to injury. The Fever have a thin backcourt with Clark on the sideline, as well as Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald out with injuries of their own.
While the Fever are hoping for Clark to return, McDonald and Colson suffered season-ending injuries.
Colson is working through a torn ACL, while McDonald has a broken right foot. Both players have been treated for their injuries; Colson is wearing a walking boot, and McDonald has been seen at games and practices with a scooter.
On Sunday, ahead of a matchup against the Connecticut Sun, Stephanie White spoke on the possibility of bringing Caitlin Clark back.
"That's the hope," White said, per Fever reporter Tony East. "The hope is that she's back."
Stephanie White asked if she anticipates Caitlin Clark will return before the end of the regular season: “That’s the hope. The hope is that she’s back.”

Caitlin Clark has played 13 games this season. She was named a WNBA All-Star, earning the honor for the second time in her career with the Indiana Fever, but injuries have plagued her second season in the league.
Clark has posted 16.5 points, 5 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game this season.
While Caitlin Clark has been sidelined, the Indiana Fever have been forced to lean on the contributions of several players like Aliyah Boston, Sophie Cunningham and Natasha Howard for consistency on both ends of the floor.
