Scottie Scheffler’s on a heater. He has won two majors among four total wins on the PGA Tour in 2025. The world No. 1's game has been so consistent that he hasn’t finished outside the top 10 since March. It has been another incredible season for the 29-year-old as we wind down with these last two events.

This week’s BMW Championship at Caves Valley just outside of Baltimore serves as the penultimate FedExCup Playoffs event as the top 50 in the rankings jostle for position to make the top 30 for next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

Robert MacIntyre (16-under) leads by four shots over second-place Scheffler (12-under) entering the final round, and Scheffler is well aware that he has a big task ahead of him.

“Bob has got a four-shot lead going into [today], and it's up to me. He's playing some great golf, and it's up to me to go out there and chase him down,” Scheffler told reporters after his third round.

The layout at Caves Valley includes a number of large and undulating greens, with pin locations protected prominently by slopes. Scheffler was asked about how much this affects how aggressive he can be as he tries to make up ground on the leader.

“It's challenging. But that's what I said about giving myself a good amount of opportunities [Saturday],” Scheffler said. “I wasn't as sharp as I would have hoped with the irons. I felt like I was putting kind of up and over hills a little bit today and felt like I could have put myself in better positions going into the greens.”

MacIntyre seeks his third PGA Tour title today, and even through some heckling from a fan on the 14th hole on Saturday, the 29-year-old seems inspired by being the underdog in this showdown against the game’s best player.

"I grew up all my days amateur golf being the one on the outside looking in, faced not fitting, really fighting for it," MacIntyre told reporters after his Saturday round. "What we say in the team, it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog, and I grew up fighting to be in this position."

Scheffler and MacIntyre tee off in the final group at 1:40pm ET Sunday at the very hilly and picturesque Caves Valley Golf Club.
