After a couple of months of mediocre baseball, the Yankees seem to be close to their usual ways.

Their team name is the New York Yankees, but Tuesday night's game against the Rays was when the Yankees channeled their other nickname, the Bronx Bombers.

The Yankees have won six out of their last eight games played, trending back in the right direction as the end of the season approaches.

After a long rain delay on Tuesday, the Yankees seemed unfazed by the inconvenient circumstances, making a statement early on against the Rays.

Yankees set incredible MLB all-time home run record

The Yankees played an away game in Tampa Bay, but they're more familiar with the field than some would think.

After Tropicana Field was flooded and destroyed by a bad hurricane recently, the Rays had to relocate to Steinbrenner Field, which is, coincidentally, the stadium the Yankees play at for Spring Training.

New York spent no time settling in, hitting eight home runs through just six innings of the game. Here's where it gets kind of crazy.

Tuesday night's game was the fourth time in franchise history that the Yankees hit 8+ home runs in a single regular-season game.

They were previously tied with a few other teams for first place in that stat, but have now taken sole position of first place (via StatMuse).

It's actually the second time they've done it this season as well, having 8+ in a game earlier this season.

Among those with home runs through the six innings played are Aaron Judge (1), Cody Bellinger (2), Giancarlo Stanton (2), Ben Rice (1), Jazz Chisholm (1) and Jose Caballero (1).

Unfortunately for the Yankees, they only play Tampa Bay one more time in this series, as they'll be wishing they had more games to try and hit more home runs in a stadium where the ball carries well for them.
