The wait for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Draft came to an end on Tuesday, as the selections made by Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier were aired on ESPN's "WNBA Countdown."

The draft, which was pre-recorded on Monday, was kicked off with Clark, who led the league in votes with 1,293,526, selecting Fever forward Aliyah Boston.

A pick that was far from surprising, considering Clark revealed she had planned to and did draft both of her Fever teammates, as Kelsey Mitchell was in the reserve pool.

Although one could argue that Clark not selecting Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese out of sheer hope to avoid drama was a surprise, there weren't many twists and turns throughout when it came to the selection of the players.

Following the draft's conclusion, ESPN's Malika Andrews reminded Clark and Collier that they could trade players, but neither seemed all too interested.

Instead, Clark ended up asking for forgiveness instead of permission to pull off a different kind of trade that saw them exchange coaches.

"To be completely honest, I love my team," Clark said. "I think they're great, I don't have any intentions of really trading any of them...I don't know if this is in the rules, I don't really care. But I think we've already discussed we are going to trade coaches. Phee's (Collier) gonna take her coach Sandy Brondello let's get it...Sorry WNBA if that's not in the rules."

The transaction sees Collier end up with her head coach in Minnesota, Cheryl Reeve, while Clark's team gets New York Liberty coach Sandy Brondello.

Considering the WNBA social media account posted about the trade, it is okay. However, even if they didn't love the idea, it's hard to say no to Clark, who is arguably one of the biggest athletes in the world right now.
