On Friday, the Indiana Fever arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a pivotal matchup with the Washington Mystics.
The Fever, sitting at 18-15 and third in the WNBA's Eastern Conference after a Tuesday loss to Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, will again be without star Caitlin Clark.
The Mystics, 14-18 on the season and 1-4 in August, are hoping to bounce back and potentially make a push for a playoff spot.
Injuries may be the story of Indiana’s season, but heading into Friday’s game, guard Lexie Hull stole the spotlight.
Making her tunnel entrance, Hull sported a bold black-and-white zebra-print dress that had Fever fans buzzing.

Lexie Hull's Breakout 2025 Season
Having played in all 33 games (20 starts), Hull is enjoying a breakout season with the Fever in what is now her fourth year in Indiana.
She's averaging career-highs across the board with 6.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 39% from the field and 37% from 3-point range.
Moreover, she's done all of this while managing a greater workload in Clark's absence, averaging a career-high 25.8 minutes per game with a usage rate of 12.5% and 6.0 Net Rating.
In Indiana's recent 92-70 win over the Chicago Sky, Hull posted a season-high performance of 17 points, three assists, three rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes, including 4-of-6 from deep.
This was just her seventh double-digit scoring game this year, yet her highest single-game output of the season.
Hull was also added to this year's WNBA All-Star Weekend STARRY 3-Point Contest as a late replacement, finishing Round 1 with 20 points, just narrowly behind Kelsey Plum (22), Allisha Gray (25) and the eventual champion Sabrina Ionescu (25).
Hull’s minutes, starts and counting stats have risen each year since being drafted No. 6 overall in 2022 out of Stanford.
From a role player in Year 1 to a regular starter and rotation mainstay in 2025, the trend is upward as she’s absorbed more responsibilities on both ends.
