Derrick Köhn
According to information from Monday, August 18, 2025, negotiations are currently underway between Union Berlin and Galatasaray for a transfer valued at just under €5 million for the Ghanaian-born player. Talks have progressed and an agreement for the transfer of Derrick Köhn is on the horizon.
Both clubs are now ironing out the final details of the deal, including the addition of a 20% sell-on clause. A deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days, pending contractual approval. Köhn, who joined Galatasaray from Hannover 96 in January 2024, quickly made his mark with his attacking performances down the left flank. Union Berlin views him as a strategic reinforcement ahead of the new season.
For the record, Galatasaray recently turned down a bid from 1. FC Köln for Derrick Köhn, deeming it insufficient. Meanwhile, Werder Bremen, once interested, is no longer in the running. That leaves Union Berlin as the sole contender for the German-Ghanaian defender, moving ever closer to sealing the deal.
