The Phoenix Suns have been one of the busiest teams in the NBA this offseason as they have made many moves to retool their roster around Devin Booker.

This was expected by the Suns after they failed to reach the playoffs last season as many believed they would blow things up in the offseason.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the rights to 10th overall pick Khaman Maluach and five second-round picks.

During the 2025 NBA Draft, the Suns pulled off another trade as they acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets for the rights to 29th overall pick Liam McNeeley, a 2029 first-round pick and Vasilije Micic.

This was a bold move by the Suns as they added both Maluach and Wiliams to upgrade their frontcourt, which was a massive problem for them last season.

While the Suns completed this trade, another key part of the deal also made a bold move during free agency.

According to Forbes’ Evan Sidery, Micic’s career in the NBA is officially over after he was bought out by the Milwaukee Bucks after the Hornets traded him to Milwaukee in the Pat Connaughton deal earlier this summer.

Sidery reported that Micic will be heading back overseas to the EuroLeague as many teams are interested in signing the 31-year-old guard.

For Micic, he was the 52nd pick in the 2014 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but did not make his NBA debut until 2023 with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

During his rookie season, the Thunder traded him to the Charlotte Hornets, where he would see most of his success in the NBA.

In his two seasons in Charlotte, the Serbian guard averaged 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 39.3% from the field and 32.9% from three-point range.

Now Micic will return to the EuroLeague as his NBA career has officially come to a close after two seasons in the league.
