The activation will feature a live taping of the podcast "Between the Lines With Lisa Leslie."
Famous Footwear and media company Just Women’s Sports have teamed up for a multipart activation at WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis on July 19, which will feature WNBA Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie.
Free to all WNBA fans, the activation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. ET at 110 South Pennsylvania Street and will include player interviews, exclusive giveaways, fan contests and more. A Famous Footwear Shoe Tunnel will welcome guests, and the first 50 fans will receive a Famous Footwear gift card for the back-to-school season.
“WNBA All-Star has become the crown jewel of the women’s sports calendar, and we’re thrilled to be showing up in a major way across the entire weekend,” said Haley Rosen, chief executive officer of Just Women’s Sports. “This is a chance to celebrate and accelerate the strides the W has made in recent years as it’s cemented itself in the cultural landscape.”
As part of the All-Star Weekend activation, there will be a live recording of “Between the Lines With Lisa Leslie,” a WNBA-focused podcast produced by Just Women’s Sports. A series of special guests, who will be in conversation with Leslie during the taping, will be announced in the coming weeks.
“As big fans of women’s sports ourselves, and knowing how much it means to our customers, we are thrilled to partner with JWS for All-Star Weekend,” said Holly Campbell, senior vice president marketing at Famous Footwear. “This activation provides a unique opportunity for us to engage with other sports fans directly fostering connections and creating fun memories during such an exciting time for the league.”
A great deal of buzz is circulating around WNBA All-Star Weekend, scheduled to take place from July 18 to 19. It’s already been revealed, for example, that A’Ja Wilson will compete in the All-Star game wearing the Nike A’One “All-Star,” a fresh version of her signature shoe.
