Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm is a well-known name in the Athens area and among all Georgia football fans. He spent three years as the Georgia starting QB, throwing for a total of 8,224 yards with 78 touchdowns while also being named the SEC Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American in 2017.

Fromm also led Georgia to three consecutive SEC East titles, a Rose Bowl trip and an appearance in the national title game in January 2018, although Alabama won, 26-23 in overtime.

Fromm was then selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills before spending time with each of the New York Giants, Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions. Fromm was released by Detroit in April, and he then became a sports analyst with Atlanta News First in August.

However, Fromm now has a new career that has suddenly popped up all over the internet.

On Tuesday, Fromm's new career journey popped up on the internet, and he is now a client adviser, according to the Marietta Daily Journal:

"Cumberland-based Sterling Seacrest Pritchard announced the hire of Client Advisor Jake Fromm. Fromm will be based in the company’s Atlanta office where he will concentrate on Commercial Property & Casualty Risk Management."

Sterling Seacrest Pritchard is a Risk management and insurance agency, and the company also posted Fromm's hire on the website.

After the news came out, the internet swirled with all sorts of reactions, including one common one: It could've been Jake from State Farm.

"He had the opportunity to do the funniest thing and failed," one user wrote. "All-time bag fumble by State Farm," another wrote. "Him not working at State Farm is like the miss of the century," another said.

"Proof that we live in the dumbest timeline. HOW DOES STATE FARM NOT HIRE HIM???" another asked. "Missed an opportunity by not being Jake from State Farm," another said.

One fan questioned how Fromm never made it far in the league.

"Still hard to believe this guy never made it he had all the tools," another wrote.

The post above by Bruce Nolan with Fromm's picture had over 3 million views in less than 24 hours, so this has quickly made plenty of rounds on social media.

Fromm earned a bachelor's degree of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia, and now he gets to continue to be involved in the community, although not as a football player.
