Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever have had a tough stretch as of late, losing three of their last four games without Caitlin Clark, after an 81-80 loss to Li Yueru and the Dallas Wings on Tuesday night.

Kelsey Mitchell had a chance at a go-ahead 2-pointer in the final seconds, but it was never meant to be.

Li Yueru Gives Praise to Boston

Yueru and Boston went head-to-head on numerous occasions throughout the game, and Boston certainly earned the 6-foot-7 center's respect.

In a postgame interview, Yueru, from Shanxi, China, had nothing but praise for the Fever forward.

"She’s really good, I just prepare every time," Yueru said. "I just try to focus on next time (possession) on defense, do better."

Yueru has her Best Game With Wings

Yueru was traded from the Seattle Storm to Dallas on June 14, receiving a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 third-round pick in return.

The 2019 third-round pick not only tallied a season-high but a career-high of 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and four rebounds. This all came in 27 minutes off the bench.

In her postgame interview, Yueru addressed her performance against Indiana.

"I like that feeling, I can do something inside and try to do more things," she added. "I really appreciate my teammates... They cheer for me, I really appreciate it... Just try and get a win tonight and do good small things, and we'll try to be better, defensively and offensively. I really hope I can keep that feeling for another game."

Despite the Fever's 15th loss of the season, Boston had another solid performance, tallying 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting and five rebounds.

Up next for the Fever, a battle with the Washington Mystics on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Indianapolis.
