LeBron James is getting prepared to play in season No. 23 in the NBA. At 40 years old, he hasn’t appeared to have lost a step on the court. The world knows, as James has made his workout regimens extremely public, that he works tirelessly to stay in the best shape possible.

James, who is entering the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, appears to have his sights set on winning another NBA championship. Fellow Lakers superstar, Luka Doncic, recently signed a contract extension to spend his foreseeable future with the team, and the offseason acquisitions of Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart should complement Austin Reaves and the rest of the roster nicely.

On Tuesday, yet another intense, James' workout video surfaced, this time courtesy of James himself. James took to his official Instagram account (@kingjames), to post his latest weightlifting session, as he prepares for season No. 23 in the NBA.

While James has always remained in top physical shape, rarely missing time on the court through his 22 NBA seasons, it’s not surprising to see weightlifting as part of his offseason routine. A few days prior, James' wife, Savannah, posted a couples' Pilates workout on her Instagram as well.

There was quite a bit of reaction to James' intense workout video from Tuesday, as NBA fans took to social media to post their thoughts.

"He's going to win MVP." one fan posted.

"Why is my king losing his muscle he looks skinnier," another fan posted.

"Year 23. LeBron 23. NBA champion. Bookmark this." another user said.

"My King bringing the HEAT with the footwear as always," another user commented.

"That’s right- you’ve got to flop with your legs." one commenter posted.

The 40-year-old superstar hasn’t had much of a drop off statistically, however, he did post the lowest scoring average of his career (last season) since his rookie season (24.4 points per game). He still averaged 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game though while playing 34.9 minutes per game in 70 total games in the regular season.

Season No. 23 is officially expected to get under way for James on Tuesday, Oct. 21. James and the Lakers are set to take on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at 10 p.m. EDT on opening night of the season on NBC and Peacock.
