An up-and-coming member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is set to be farmed out on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Áron Yaakobishvili as the player in question.
Shot-stopper Yaakobishvili is for his part fresh off a starring campaign with Barcelona’s U19s this past season.
After previously being widely expected to depart, the youngster and his entourage in turn reached an agreement on the terms of a new contract through the summer of 2028 in Catalunya’s capital.
And as alluded to above, as part of his ongoing development, Yaakobishvili is expected to spend the year ahead out on loan, in a bid to secure regular playing time at senior level.
As per a report from MD, after fellow youth goalkeeper Ander Astralaga already departed for Granada:
‘Áron Yaakobishvili is also aiming for a loan.’
The Hungarian talent is considered most likely to land in one of Spanish football’s lower tiers.
