Zboril became a free agent earlier this summer after he mutually terminated his contract with HC Dynamo Pardubice. Now, instead of attempting an NHL comeback, Zboril will remain overseas, but now with HC Vitkovice.
Zboril appeared 30 games this past season with HC Dynamo Pardubice, where he recorded two goals, 12 assists, 14 points, and a plus-4 rating. He also posted five assists in 16 playoff games with the club.

Zboril, of course, was selected by the Bruins with the 13th overall pick of the infamous 2015 Entry Draft. Unfortunately, Zboril never blossomed into the true top-four defenseman the Bruins hoped he would and struggled to even secure a full-time spot on their NHL roster.
In 76 games over four NHL seasons with the Bruins, Zboril recorded one goal, 15 assists, 16 points, 28 penalty minutes, 121 hits, and an even plus/minus rating. His time with the Bruins organization ended during the 2023-24 season when he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the deal that sent Andrew Peeke to Boston.
