It looks like Paul Heyman‘s run as “The Wiseman” is officially over as the WWE Hall of Famer kicks off a new chapter in his illustrious career.
Heyman is now officially going by his new nickname, “The Oracle,” as announced on WWE RAW last night. The company filed to trademark the nickname last week. Heyman was first addressed as “The Oracle” by Seth Rollins on the final RAW broadcast of June. He was called The Wiseman during the opening promo this week, but it looks like that name is being phased out.
For those unaware, Paul Heyman aligned with Seth Rollins during the closing moments of the triple threat match at WrestleMania 41 Night 1. The Wiseman betrayed both CM Punk and Roman Reigns before handing over the chair to Rollins to finish the job.
Paul Heyman watched as LA Knight took out Seth Rollins on WWE RAW
Paul Heyman accompanied Seth Rollins for the main event match with Penta last night on WWE RAW. Rollins picked up the win after a solid back-and-forth match with Penta. However, Rollins’ celebration was cut short after LA Knight planted The Visionary with a B.F.T.
Rollins versus Knight is set for this Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend. Elsewhere on the card, Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Goldberg in another match featuring superstars from Monday Night RAW.
