Liona Lefau was named to the 2025 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award’s preseason watch list, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced Thursday.

Liona Lefau has been named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award watch list

Lefau, a junior from Laie, Hawaii who attended Kahuku High School, has 30 career appearances with 10 starts. He played in all 16 games last year with 10 starts, notching 63 tackles, 5.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks, one Interception, one forced fumble, and three PBU.
Lefau is the likely starter at Will, though he is being pushed by Ty’Anthony Smith in preseason camp. However, Lefau will be a key part of the Longhorn defense in 2025.
“We hope to pick it up from where we left off last year and hopefully step it up a notch,” Lefau said last week.
In his career, Lefau has 70 career tackles. He played in 14 games in 2023, notching seven tackles
