It seems as if the Los Angeles Dodgers can't catch a break from the injury bug within their pitching staff.

Los Angeles has seen 34 different pitchers on the mound for them this season as they continue to adjust from the long list of injuries they have dealt with all year long.

Michael Kopech found his way onto the 15-day injured list on June 28 after finding inflammation in his knee before the Dodgers took on the Chicago White Sox to begin July.

It's the second time Kopech has appeared on the injured list this season, as he missed the Dodgers' first 65 games of the year with a shoulder impingement in his throwing arm.

Luckily, Kopech said that the he was placed on the injured list as a "precautionary measure," and will eye a return as early as July 13.

“I don’t know the incident that it happened, but getting the shot, hoping the pain, inflammation, is subdued... Obviously, putting him on the IL was smart to get ahead of it. I don’t think it will be a long-term situation. He’s going to be able to keep his arm going, so that’s good. I think we’re all hopeful it will be on the shorter end," manager Dave Roberts said on Monday.

LA seems to be playing the patient game with Kopech's return and won't rush the 29-year-old as the team stays focus of the postseason.

Kopech was only able to appear in seven games before his injury, but was dominant, posting a 0.00 ERA, giving up just three hits and four walks while striking out eight batters.

Although the Dodgers pitching staff hasn't been very healthy this season, Los Angeles has managed to stay atop of the NL West with a seven-game lead over the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.
