Running back prospect Kalil Mazone is a notable priority for the Army 2026 recruiting class.
But the 6-foot-0, 206 pound prospect out of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia has a couple other programs that have their eyes on him and vice versa.
“Yes I have narrowed down my list and Army is currently at the top of my list along with Toledo and Bowling Green,” declared Mazone.
“I’m looking to officially make my commitment within the next 2-3 weeks … with some official visits coming up.”
When it comes to official visits and the Black Knights, Mazone offered this insight.
“Right now, me and my family are looking to either come take an official visit on the 29th against Tarleton State or the 20th of September against North Texas,” he explained, as he also indicated that he remains in constant contact with the Army coaching staff.
“The last time I talked to an Army coach was today,” offered Mazone, who currently holds a 3.712 GPA. “It was Coach Danny Verpaele. We just talked about getting on a call and catching up with fall camp.
According to Mazone, he is working hard this offseason to be prime ready for senior football campaign.
“I’ve trained hard during the summer with my team and with my trainer Marquell Beckwith, along with training with my dad,” he stated.
During his 2024 junior campaign, Mazone his teammates 2024 were 12-1. He only 320 rushing yards due missing half of my season due to a broken collarbone. Even with that, he received 2nd Team All Region. Player of the Month, and All State Honorable Mention.
