Marco Reus is set to become a brand ambassador for his former club Borussia Dortmund, the Sport Bild weekly reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Bundesliga club is in talks with its former captain and he's expected to take the role once his professional career is over.

"When you are so connected to as many people as I know there, I would be a fool not to return," he said shortly before his departure from Dortmund.

Reus, 36, left Dortmund after 12 years last summer and now plays at Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy where he has a contract until 2026. His deal in LA can be extended for another year.
