He's already home.
Aggies Fans React to Five-Star Recruit Lamar Brown's Strong Message originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Texas A&M Aggies' 2026 defensive class already has the makings of a special group, and that's with a five-star recruit waiting in the wings eagerly.
Coach Mike Elko has already landed commitments to four-star linebackers Tank King and DaQuives Beck.
But upon four-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright's commitment announcement on July 5, Lamar Brown, Louisiana's No. 1 prospect by 247 Sports, appeared ready to join arms with Perry-Wright.
"Let's team up and run the SECđź‘€," Brown wrote on July 5, responding to Perry-Wright's commitment -- a message that sent shockwaves through the Aggies fan base.

"Big things happening defensively in Aggieland! Gig’em!!! Can’t wait to see this group playing ball together," one fan wrote.
"Lamar - you know Aggieland is home! Let’s do this," a second fan replied.
The fan base seemed unanimously in agreement that, while Brown has yet to commit, the writing is on the wall.
I knew Lamar Brown was an Aggie lock," a third fan said.
While many outside voices argued against the Aggies taking over the conference, the biggest opponents of the post were Brown's home-state Tigers fans.
Brown's message comes after he canceled and rescheduled his LSU visit -- a sign that the Aggies had won over the No. 1 offensive and defensive lineman in the class of 2026.
"Bona fide two-way line-of-scrimmage prospect who could provide immense long-term potential from the interior of the offensive or defensive front," 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks wrote.
While Brooks projected Brown to be an interior offensive lineman, Brown seems set on the prospect of playing defense.Â
