In the offseason, the Crimson Tide brought on former NBA assistant Chris Fleming to replace Ryan Pannone, who exited to take the head coaching job at Arkansas State.
For his initial contract at Alabama, Fleming agreed to a two-year contract through April 30, 2027. For each year, the contract value is set for $400,000, which UA Director of Athletics Greg Byrne noted was a "slight offset" from Fleming's remaining term with the Portland Trailblazers.

Returning assistant Brian Adams also received a new contract for two years, valued at $400,000 per contract year.
This offseason, Oats also added Marcus Zegarowski, who played for Creighton from 2018 to 2021, as a grad assistant for the Crimson Tide. Zegarowski was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft.
