Indiana Fever player involved in big announceemnt.
Indiana Fever Player on Temporary Leave Receives Exciting News on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever continue to await the return of one of their key role players, who left the team during the season for an overseas commitment.
Although Indiana was recently defeated, it has been mostly successful recently, winning three of its last four games.
The Fever are making an impact, despite missing Damiris Dantas, who's been away from the team, playing for the Brazilian National Team in the FIBA Women's AmeriCup.
Head coach Stephanie White and the Fever certainly miss the impact Dantas brings to the table.
While being away from the team, Dantas made the AmeriCupW All-Star 5.
"Your 2025 #AmeriCupW All-Star 5: Mikayla Blakes MVP, Kamilla Cardoso, Damiris Dantas, Syla Swords and Hannah Hidalgo," posted the official social media account of the AmeriCupW.

Dantas and Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso were the only two WNBA players to make the All-Star 5, and both played for Brazil.
The two helped Brazil reach the AmeriCup final, eventually losing to the gold medalist, Team USA, led by Mikayala Blakes and Hannah Hidalgo.
Dantas is currently playing in her second season with the Indiana Fever, posting 5.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
As White and the Fever prepare for the return of Dantas, they will also be waiting for Caitlin Clark, who's missed five straight games due to a groin injury.
Clark is also playing in her second season with the Fever, averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. While she's missed 10 games this season (including the Commissioner's Cup final), Clark has been extremely effective when healthy.
