What is the Hall of Fame Open?

The 2025 Hall of Fame Open is an ATP Challenger Tour event and WTA Tour 125-format tennis tournament held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport from July 6-13.

Both men’s and women’s tournament's feature 32 singles and 16 doubles teams. The winners of the outdoor grass tournament will take home $200,000 in prize money.

When are the matches?

It features both men’s and women’s with the single’s qualifying rounds taking place July 6-7. The Round of 32 starts on July 7 and lasts for two days. The women’s doubles will also start on July 7 while the men’s start the day after.

All finals will take place on July 13.

What’s new at the Hall of Fame Open?

Women’s professional tennis will be featured at the International Tennis Hall of Fame for the first time since the 1998 Virginia Slims Invitational. The equal purse between men’s and women’s is a direct action to equalize the gender pay gap, according to the Hall of Fame Open website.

Another change revolving around the games is the induction ceremony. Brothers Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, as well Maria Sharapova will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Their ceremony is slated for Aug. 23, a change after it typically was held during the tournament.
