Al Ahli have completed the marquee signing of attacking midfielder Enzo Millot from Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart.
The Frenchman, who had been linked with a number of high-profile European clubs, was announced on Saturday night as the latest exciting addition to the Roshn Saudi League. He signs a three-year contract with the reigning Asian champions.
Millot, 23, arrives in Jeddah off the back of a fantastic 2024-25 campaign in which he scored 12 goals and registered eight assists, while he played an integral role in Stuttgart’s DFB Pokal final win in May. He began his professional career in his homeland at AS Monaco before moving to Germany in 2021.
Al Ahli’s German manager Mattias Jaissle will be very familiar with Millot from his time in the Bundesliga.
"We've been watching Enzo for a while now and we did plenty of research before making our move," the former Red Bull Salzburg head coach told the club's official media channels. "He's technically gifted with excellent tactical intelligence.
"Coming from the Bundesliga is perfect for us too - it's such a physical, high-tempo league that he'll be ready for what we're asking of him next season. We're excited to see what he can bring to the team and how he'll complement the rest of the squad."
Al Ahli, who in May sealed a historic first AFC Champions League Elite crown, will be looking to improve on last season’s fifth-placed finish in the RSL when the new campaign gets under way later this month.
