Lane Kiffin is as serious about trolling online as he is about the X's and O's of the game. Lately, his prime target has been the Auburn Tigers' head coach, Hugh Freeze.

This time, he's made it subtle, but anyone aware of their history will understand what he's doing.

The Tigers' coach has been a golfer for some time now. On May 20, Freeze shared a post on X celebrating his inaugural win in a golf tournament against another Country Club.

Kiffin replied to this post on July 6 with a congratulatory message, which is being perceived by the majority as a subtle dig at Coach Freeze due to their ongoing recruitment rivalry.

"Great job Coach!! Game is on", the Ole Miss Rebels' head coach wrote with a fire emoji.

Auburn and Ole Miss share a rivalry that is suffering due rescheduling after the SEC's realignment. But that hasn't stopped Freeze and Kiffin from going at each other off the field.

Last month, Kiffin trolled Freeze with a caught-fish picture after the Tigers lost out on a 4-star recruit to Ole Miss. He is always on the lookout for any chance to stir things up with Freeze.

But one can't be sure if the Auburn HC has time for trolls right now.

The Tigers are going through a particularly difficult time recruiting for the next year. Even though they have gathered one of the best recruiting classes two years in a row, they're 2026 class has been ranked 8th.

Commit after commit has either flipped or chosen their rivals. Coach Freeze and Auburn Athletic Director recently went viral for saying they believe their competitors aren't playing fair.

Most Auburn fans must still be holding out hope and looking at this season before making a judgment on the next. 

Hugh Freeze and co need to buck up for a rough off season next year.
