Here's what you need to know to watch UFC on ESPN 70 on ESPN and ESPN+.

The UFC is in Nashville for the seventh time, and the first time in two years, this week with heavyweights at the top of the lineup.

Here's how to watch UFC on ESPN 70 with a two-time title challenger against an unbeaten prospect in the headlining spot.

Broadcast and streaming info

UFC on ESPN 70 has a main card that starts at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. The preliminary card streams on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET.

Stay tuned to MMA Junkie later this week for more broadcast details.

Main event: Derrick Lewis

  • Record: 28-12 MMA, 19-10 UFC
  • Opponent: Tallison Teixeira (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC)
  • Division: Heavyweight
  • Key wins: Rodrigo Nascimento, Curtis Blaydes, Aleksei Oleinik, Ilir Latifi,  Blagoy Ivanov, Alexander Volkov, Francis Ngannou, Marcin Tybura, Travis Browne, Roy Nelson, Gabriel Gonzaga
  • Misc.: Lewis is back for the first time since a third-round knockout win over Nascimento in May 2024. He was set to return this past November, but fell ill on fight day. He has wins in two of his past three fights after a rough stretch of four losses in five bouts. It’s been about four years since he fought for an interim title and nearly seven since he last fought for the heavyweight belt, so wins for the 40-year-old are critical at this point.

Main event: Tallison Teixeira

  • Record: 8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC
  • Opponent: Derrick Lewis (28-12 MMA, 19-10 UFC)
  • Division: Heavyweight
  • Key wins: Justin Tafa
  • Misc.: The 25-year-old Brazilian has all eight of his wins by finish, including seven knockouts. His introduction to the U.S. audience was in LFA and two first-round knockouts in 2024. That got him to DWCS, where he delivered another in September 2024. And in his official UFC debut in February, he took out Tafa in just 35 seconds for a perfect first impression.

Co-main event: Gabriel Bonfim

  • Record: 17-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC
  • Opponent: Stephen Thompson (17-8-1 MMA, 12-8-1 UFC)
  • Division: Welterweight
  • Key wins: Khaos Williams, Ange Loosa, Trevin Giles
  • Misc.: Bonfim bounced back from a Fight of the Night knockout loss to Nicolas Dalby in late 2023 with back-to-back wins over Loosa and Williams – the latter of which got him another bonus for Performance of the Night in February.

Co-main event: Stephen Thompson

  • Record: 17-8-1 MMA, 12-8-1 UFC
  • Opponent: Gabriel Bonfim (17-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC)
  • Division: Welterweight
  • Key wins: Kevin Holland, Geoff Neal, Vicente Luque, Jorge Masvidal, Rory MacDonald, Johny Hendricks, Robert Whittaker
  • Misc.: Thompson turned 42 earlier this year. He’s dropped four of his past five fights, so he’s clearly outside of realistic title contention at this point in his career. His past two losses have been stoppages – a submission setback against Shavkat Rakhmonov in late 2023 and a knockout loss to Joaquin Buckley in October 2024. He’s going after his first win in 2.5 years.
