Bucks’ NBA champion signs contract to play in Israel

Elijah Bryant is heading to a new team.

One of the lesser-known pieces on the Milwaukee Bucks' 2021 NBA championship team has a new hoops home.

Elijah Bryant was a backup point guard who popped up in 11 games during the Bucks' run to the title that postseason.

Now, Bryant has reached a deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel, the team announced on X.

That run to the championship was Bryant's only season in the NBA. He has spent the rest of his career overseas after playing his college ball at Elon and BYU.

Ironically, he only played one regular season game for that Bucks team before playing in 11 postseason games.

Now 30 years old, Bryant has split his international time between Israel and Turkey.

He started with a couple seasons at Maccabi Tel Aviv, and for the past four years, has played for Anadolu Efes.

He has averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his European career.

And now after four seasons in Turkey, this NBA champion heads back to hoop in Israel.
