Just one year after joining from Birmingham City, Jordan James (21) could be set to leave Stade Rennais this summer.
The Wales international struggled to make an impact during his debut season with Rennes, despite making 23 Ligue 1 appearances. He did not score a goal in that time, registering just one assist. There is a reshuffle at Rennes this summer with many of last season’s recruits on their way out, whilst some stalwarts of the side, such as Baptiste Santamaria and Warmed Omari, have also been shown the door.
James could be the next departure. The Welshman is likely to be a back-up option under Habib Beye next season, Ouest-France understands. He is therefore considering his future at the Breton club, who will not stand in the way of a departure.
Ouest-France understands that there is significant interest from Serie A side Parma. James could therefore be on the move again this summer.
