PSG and Bournemouth had been at a standstill over Illia Zabarnyi, with neither side ready to make a move. That’s starting to change, though, as the French club gets closer to signing the Ukrainian defender.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Zabarnyi is eager to join PSG and even reached a verbal agreement with them back in June. Talks are expected to pick up again soon.
Despite some rumors, Romano clarifiedthere haven’t been any serious discussions with Tottenham Hotspur. He recently confirmed PSG are nearing a deal, with negotiations with Bournemouth going smoothly and just a few minor details left to finalize.

Recently, journalist Ben Jacobs reported that PSG have reopened talks to sign Zabarnyi, who has already agreed to a five-year deal and is now waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement, despite interest from Tottenham.
Jacobs adds that if the move happens, the final fee is expectedto be closer to Bournemouth’s €70 million asking price than the €60 million previously discussed. Still, it looks like the Parisians managed to shape the deal closer to what they were willing to pay rather than meeting the Premier League side’s asking price.
