The Indiana Fever have found unexpected success with Caitlin Clark out of the lineup.

Clark has missed ample time this season, playing just 13 games in her second season in the WNBA. Despite missing Clark from the roster for a significant period, the Fever have won five straight games.

Fever star Aliyah Boston has taken over for Clark, finding success while gradually improving on the offensive end as both a scorer and facilitator.

On Tuesday, the Fever announced Boston had been named the most recent Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

"Your @WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Aliyah Boston," posted the official social media account of the Indiana Fever. "@aa_boston recorded three straight double-doubles in our three wins during the week of July 28-August 3."

After the announcement, Clark took to social media, sharing the news about Boston and showing respect to her Indiana Fever teammate.

Despite her injury-marred second season, Clark was a WNBA All-Star captain as a result of being one of the top two in fan voting. She has been an All-Star in each of her pro seasons.

Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and a team-leading 8.8 assists per game for the Fever. Clark is the team's second-leading scorer behind Kelsey Mitchell.
