The Indiana Fever are amid their strongest stretch of the season, going on a five-game win streak without superstar guard Caitlin Clark. Recovering from her fourth injury of the season, Indiana's staff said they're taking a cautious approach with her return.

The Fever are heating up at the right time, winning their last five and eight of their previous 10 games. With Clark having missed more games than she's played in, the team has known that other players need to step up to win.

Meanwhile, forward Aliyah Boston did just that, recording three straight double-doubles in their three wins between July 28 and August 3, posting an average of 16.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. Subsequently, she was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

On Monday, the Fever held a team dinner, at which head coach Stephanie White surprised Boston with the announcement in front of her teammates. As a result, Boston was overcome with shock, and her teammates cheered as they raised a glass to celebrate her.

"Congratulations to AB!" said a fan.

"Well deserved!" said another.

"Nah Aliyah’s face got me crying," one fan said.

"Bow Bow Bow," wrote a fan.

"I like hearing Caitlin Clark chug, chug, telling boston to chug that drink. Lol," one wrote.

"AB DESERVES EVERY BIT OF RECOGNITION AND MORE!" another wrote.

The Fever are set to visit the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night with the hopes of capturing their sixth straight victory. Indiana is 8-6 on the road this season, while the Sparks are just 3-9 on their home floor.
