It's not getting any better for the Yankees.

The sting and the embarrassment of a recent series sweep at the hands of the Miami Marlins have yet to wear off for the New York Yankees, but another wound has opened up for the Bronx Bombers, courtesy of a familiar bullpen meltdown Monday night against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Max Fried wants to see change amid Yankees' losing skid
As the losses pile up for the Yankees, the sense of urgency also grows for New York, which has now lost four games in a row.
"It's simple. It's a results business," Yankees starter Max Fried said after the loss to the Rangers (h/t Erik Boland of Erik Boland). "We just need to get it done and we haven't been getting it done. We gotta do something to be able to change that."
Although the Yankees’ bullpen has shouldered the brunt of criticism, Fried also wasn’t exactly immaculate on the mound versus Texas. He allowed four earned runs on eight hits with three walks issued in five innings of work.
Another Bullpen Meltdown Costs Yankees
The Yankees started the Rangers game looking like they were finally righting the ship, as they raced to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Fried then gave up four runs in the bottom of the same frame before Giancarlo Stanton put the Yankees ahead in the fourth inning with a two-run home run.
Four innings passed without either team scoring a run. Down to their last two outs in the bottom of the ninth frame, the Rangers called on Joc Pederson to pinch hit against Yankees closer Devin Williams.
Pederson reciprocated Texas manager Bruce Bochy's trust in him, as he stepped up and delivered a clutch game-tying solo home run. An inning later, the Rangers walked it off following a three-run dinger by Josh Jung off Yankees reliever Jake Bird, giving Texas the come-from-behind 8-5 victory.
According to FanGraphs, the Yankees now have the most blown saves in the big leagues over the last 14 days. Even worse for the Yankees, they have dropped to 60-53, putting them 5.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the top spot in the American League standings.
