West Ham United Are In The Race For Liverpool Talent: Will He Be A Good Pick For The Hammers?

Over the past few seasons, West Ham United have established themselves as a stable Premier League club. Under David Moyes, the team have tasted success on the European stage, and the players have given tough competition to big teams. However, now the club have suffered badly in the 2024/25 season and in preparation for the 2025-26 season, the club are feeling the need for change under Graham Potter. The departure of Mohammed Kuddus was a big blow to the club’s aspirations. At the same time, doubts are growing internally about Luis Guilherme. The club are once again looking for a reliable option on their right wing.

This search has now brought them to a young face, and that player is  Ben Doak. This Scottish talent from Liverpool has played for Middlesbrough in the Championship. He possesses pace, smooth dribbling abilities and a dynamism in the attacking half. The club know deep down that they need a backup for Jarrod Bowen, and if needed, he will have to be replaced.

David Lynch reports that West Ham United are now looking to make a direct bid for Ben Doak. Liverpool have already turned down an offer of up to £20 million. The club have been looking to sell him to Crystal Palace to make some headway in the Marc Guehi deal, but West Ham’s interest could now turn things around.

Ben Doak is a player full of energy on the pitch. He may be young, but his movement, runs and crosses from the wing look ready for the Premier League. He wants to play consistently, and a club like West Ham could give him the platform that Liverpool are currently unable to.

Will he be a good signing for the Hammers?

The question now is, will this deal be right for West Ham? We think Ben Doak is a sensible risk at this point. He has a lot in him, but he needs opportunities. If the Hammers promise him regular playing time, this transfer could be a success. He could inject new life into their attacking line. The winger could form a dangerous duo alongside Jarod Bowen and cause headaches for Premier League defenders.

The interesting part of this deal is that the player will decide where he goes, and if West Ham are willing to give him a role in the first team, then leaving Merseyside could be the perfect move for him.
