With the WNBA All-Star break approaching, the standings are taking shape. No team is in a better position that the Minnesota Lynx. Entering Sunday's contest against the Chicago Sky, the Lynx own a 16-2 record that sits atop the league.

While Minnesota has been dominant this season, not everything has been positive. On Friday, the team announced season-ending injury news that will impact its rotation.

After suffering a left foot injury against the Connecticut Sun on June 29, Lynx guard Karlie Samuelson will undergo surgery that ends her 2025 campaign after just 16 appearances. Per the team, further updates will be provided on her progress as they become available.

Following this news, Samuelson made a post on Instagram.

"I don’t even know what to say besides this really sucks 💔 I loved playing with this team," the veteran guard began. "I know I’ll come back from this. Just hard to process not being on the court with these girls. But I’m grateful to be here. This a special team. #GoLynx 💙"

Samuelson received over 180 comments, including from several WNBA players.

"Love you 🥺❤️," Katie Lou Samuelson wrote.

"We love you Kar ❤️❤️," said Napheesa Collier.

"We love you Karl 🫶🏽💕" Kourtney Williams added.

"❤️❤️❤️❤️," wrote Bridge Carleton.

"💕💕🙏🏾," Lexie Brown commented.
