New Chelsea signing Jorrel Hato completed the move from Ajax on Sunday, and he has wasted no time introducing himself to his new fans.
Soon after the club announced the signing of the new defender, the Dutchman got chatting with the media in an attempt to win over his new fans.
The teenage prodigy also shed light on his strengths as a football player and opened up about the opportunity to play in England.
But perhaps most interesting was his pick for the player he models his game after.
On being asked about which player he bases his game on, Hato simply answered, ‘Thiago Silva.’
Hato’s response is set to appease his new set of fans, but that seemingly can’t be his only motive.

Thiago Silva is nothing less than a Chelsea legend, having won the Champions League with the club a couple of seasons ago.
Silva was an exceptional defender and is a great role model for a young gun like Hato. More importantly, Silva still carries Chelsea in his heart years after leaving the club.
If Hato can go on to have half the impact that Silva had at Chelsea, he is guaranteed to be a success at his new club.
