Thunderstorms blew through Tallahassee on Tuesday evening shaking up Mike Norvell and Florida State’s plans of holding its first scrimmage of the preseason inside Doak Campbell Stadium.
FSU got most of its work in under cover of the Al Dunlap Practice Facility and logged 110 snaps.
Afterwards Norvell was pleased with the performance. “Tonight was a good night for us,” said Norvell.
In his opening statement Norvell cited plays from James Williams, Earl Little, Randy Pittman and said of his projected starting quarterback, “I thought Tommy (Castellanos) played really well tonight.”

Florida State will open the 2025 season in a newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium when they host Alabama on August 30.
