Live results and reactions from WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2, featuring Cena vs. Cody, Naomi vs. Rhea vs. IYO SKY, and more.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 Results: Live Reaction and Highlights originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2025 is in the books. We saw Cody Rhodes regain his title, but perhaps even bigger, Brock Lesnar returned to attack John Cena.

Saturday delivered a shock finish, huge debuts, and a return that will dominate headlines for weeks. Sunday night may have topped it.

Here is a look back at every match as it happened. Start from the bottom and make your way up.

Cody Rhodes def. John Cena to become the new WWE Champion, but Brock Lesnar is back.

Brock Lesnar!!! Lesnar is back. No one can have a moment at this SummerSlam. Cena's tribute gets cut short by Lesnar who F5s him.

Both men were phenomenal tonight and the tributes poured in before the show was off the air. Is another major surprise coming? Yes, there was.

This was one of the best passing torch moments we've ever seen.

Ladies and gentlemen, we're in uncharted territory. Cena kicked out of three Cross Rhodes. And now...Rhodes has kicked out of three AAs including an Avalanche AA.

Cody looks to be turning heel. This could wind up being the biggest double turn in history.

What a shot here of Cena having Cody in position for the AA as the rise on the Coyvator.

Cena takes a nasty bump here with a suplex throw the steel railing.

Cena then drops an AA on Rhodes from one announcer's table to the other.

Cena hits the Code Red on Rhodes outside the ring.

Rhodes just did a spike piledriver on Cena, and everyone knows the deal.

Vintage Cena is in effect.

The still freakishly strong Cena just threw the ring steps at Cody.

Early in the match, Cena snatched a crutch from Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Halbiurton who is in the front row.

The two legends hugged before entering into battle.

This entrance was ALMOST Samantha Irvin level.

Cena is out and he brought the trons back. It's like he's half-face. This could be truly legendary.

Cody is out first and it began with a foreword from his father Dusty Rhodes. Chills. He's donning the gold mask.

It's main event time.

Dom Mysterio def. AJ Styles. Retains the IC title

Dom channeled more Eddie by using his boot to defeat Styles. Beautiful tribute match to one of the greatest of all time.

Some were shocked to see Mysterio go over, but it shows how much WWE believes in him.

Brilliantly, the continued tribute and homage to Guerrero continued with this beautiful spot.

Dom and Styles are working a fantastic match. And people are finally giving Dom is credit.

Styles' shirt says "Styles Heat."

Styles is even rocking Guerrero-inspired gear.

Styles is coming to the ring in a lowrider ala Eddie Guerrero.

Here comes Dom to the ring.

Dominik Mysterio is defending his title against AJ Styles next.

Solo Sikoa def. Jacob Fatu and retains his title with help from the MFT

This was by far the worst match of the night and maybe of the weekend thus far.

Solo won, but it almost looked like he fell out of the cage rather than climbing out. I had to wonder if this was the way it was planned. Jacob did hit a moonsault from the top of the cage onto Tonga Loa and JC Mateo after the match was over.

The MFTs got involved and here comes Big Jim to help Jacob.

They have been going back and forth, but suddenly, Fatu hits back-to-back moonsaults and Solo kicks out.

Solo gets flattened early in the match.

The crowd is not feeling Solo to start the match.

Jacob is coming to the ring and he is wearing a new werewolf mask.

Despite being the champion, Solo is first to the ring.

Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa is next and the cage is being lowered.

Becky Lynch Retains Her Women's IC Title with win over Lyra Valkyria

Ultimately, Bayley's interference costs Lyra the match and now she can never challenge for the IC title again while Lynch is the champion. Seems like a good time to move Lyra to something else.

Just as Becky was set to smash Lyra with the crowbar, Bayley shows up to stop her. Becky tried to convince Bayley to turn on Lyra, but she wouldn't take the bait.

This match is getting absolutely brutal. Lyra hits Nightwing on the floor.

Lyra is working. She just pulled off a no-hand moonsault.

Now, Lynch has hung Lyra from the ring post and she is pounded the challenger in the midsection with the kendo stick. All the while, Lyra is still bound by a zip tie.

Lynch has now zip-tied Lyra's hands together while she grabs toolsโ€“like a wrenchโ€“to pound on the challenger.

Lynch has begun to choke Lyra from behind with a chain and she also added kendo stick attacks to ensure we remembered this is No DQ.

Lyra accidentally threw Becky into a photographer. That was definitely not supposed to happen. The guy just hilariously turned and walked away.

This match is No DQ and Lynch just grabbed a kendo stick only to have Lyra counter with a crowbar.

OK. I was worried about Lynch ditching her old song. I'm no longer worried. This song is already ready to become iconic. Others seem to share the same sentiments.

Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria is next. This feud has been built pretty well. Here comes Becky's new entrance musicโ€“I think.

The match was amazing, though a little short. The crowd booed the Wyatt Sicks winning and I don't think it was because of the brevity of the match. The Wyatts simply aren't over. Still, that was a great match.

The Wyatt Sicks win a hellacious match to retain their tag-team titles.

We've got one more. DIY went crashing into a set of tables from atop the ladder.

They aren't done. This spotโ€“or non-spotโ€“from Ciampa and Frazer is unbelievable.

Andrade drills Uncle Howdyโ€“yeas he got involvedโ€“with a sunset flip powerbomb.

Then....the ladies got involved with B-Fab, Candice LeRae and Nikki Cross getting into the action. LeRae took an unbelievable bump through the ladder.

The craziness is underway. Take a look at these spots.

We're underway. Here's the Wyatt Sicks entrance.

Andrade and Ray Fenix are next. The champions, the Wyatt Sicks will be last.

Street Profits out first. They are followed by DIY, then the Motor City Machine Guns. They're follwoed by Fraxiom and they appeared to be dressed like the Fantastic Four.

The TLC Tag-Team title match is next and some of the pioneers of the match got a shout out. The Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz.

SummerSlam 2026 will be in Minneapolis.

Naomi Wins and retains the title!

Rhea had just hit a super RipTide on Iyo only to have Naomi take advantage. She snuck in and scored the pinfall via roll-up on Ripley. Here's the finish.

This spot was even better than the last. All three women are killing it.

Yeah, the ladies are beginning to put on another classic. The spots are coming every minute. Check out this moonsault from Iyo.

Iyo has started to cook as she and Rhea continue to prove how much magic they have with one another in the ring.

Naomi literally bit Ripley's hand to break a hold.

Match is progressing nicely with Naomi shining early. I hope that doesn't mean she's dropping the title tonight.

Wow! Naomi's entrance is going to be tough to top. Her father masterfully played the electric guitar. That is so awesome.

Here's Iyo's entrance.

Meanwhile, Xavier Woods keeps posting male-stripper-like pics on X.

Iyo Sky is next to the ring. Naomi will be last as the reigning champion.

Ripley out with a pretty standard entrance, but it's Rhea, so nothing is ordinary.

Naomi vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky Opens the Show

Triple H claims tonight will be bigger than Saturday. We'll see.

So....LiAngelo Ball's Tweaker just set the tone for Night 2.

The Womenโ€™s World Championship Triple Threat has the potential to turn into a sprint-style banger, especially with IYO SKYโ€™s high-risk style involved. Dominik Mysterio defends the Intercontinental title against AJ Styles in what feels like the sleeper hit of the night. And then there's the mayhem-heavy Six-Pack TLC Tag Title Match featuring The Wyatt Sicks, The Street Profits, #DIY, and more chaos than the average pay-per-view can handle.
