The PDC's North American affiliate - Championship Darts Circuit - continues to go from strength to strength. Indianapolis served up a three-day feast of elite darts as the 2025 CDC Tour rolled into town – and the North American circuit didn’t disappoint. Canada’s, Darryl Christie struck first on Friday with a landmark maiden title, David Cameron again proved he's much better at darts than UK politics, and Stowe Buntz returned to the winner’s circle on Sunday. All roads now lead to Chicago for Events 11–13, but for now, let’s relive the Midwestern highlights.
Event 8: Christie Begins Brightly
Darryl 'The Natural Disaster' Christie stormed to his first CDC Tour title on Friday in Indianapolis, sweeping aside the field en route to the title.
Canadian Christie began with a flawless 6-0 demolition of Nick Linberg in the quarter-finals, then ended Leonard Gates’ hopes 7-4 before capping his run with a 7-5 win over compatriot, Jacob Taylor in the final. It was a cool, clinical performance from the man who experienced anything other than a disaster- natural or not.
Jacob Taylor had a strong run, taking out Kiley Edmunds 6-4 in the last eight and edging Chris McHargue 7-5 in the semis. He also finished second in 180s on the day, just behind Doug Boehm’s 14 – though Boehm narrowly lost to Gates in a dramatic last eight contest.
McHargue made headlines with his best CDC finish yet, knocking out David Cameron and Kaidon Newberry en route to the final four. Cameron, despite topping the tournament averages at 92.93, once again found himself on the wrong side of a hot hand early.
With three unseeded players in the quarter-finals, the event underlined the growing depth and unpredictability on the North American circuit.
Quarter-Finals
Kiley Edmunds (16) 4-6 Jacob Taylor (8)
Chris McHargue 6-3 Kaidon Newberry
Leonard Gates (2) 6-5 Doug Boehm (7)
Nick Linberg (14) 0-6 Darryl Christie
Semi-Finals

Event 9: Cameron Claws Through Chaos
Cheeky bit of set play to shake things up and David Cameron added a ninth CDC title to his resume in dramatic fashion, surviving match darts in both the semi and final to capture the 2025 Winmau Darts Classic.
The Canadian fought tooth and nail all day, battling through three consecutive last-set deciders. He edged Stowe Buntz 4-3 in the semis – dodging five bullets – and repeated the escape act in the final against Jason Brandon, this time fending off three match darts before prevailing 5-4.
Cameron’s 89.50 average led the field, while Brandon topped the 180 charts with 11 in his first final since 2023. Still chasing his maiden title since 2015, Brandon produced one of his finest CDC runs.

Elsewhere, Buntz and Cameron both scraped through tight quarter-finals, and Doug Boehm took out Kaidon Newberry 3-1. Alex Spellman, meanwhile, became the answer to a future pub quiz question after averaging 127.5 in a lost set – one of the CDC’s more outrageous statistical moments.
Friday’s champ Christie saw his run ended early by Brandon in the last 32. The rollercoaster weekend continued...

Event 10: Buntz Bounces Back
Top seed Stowe Buntz wrapped up the Indianapolis triple-header with a hard-fought victory in the DJD Duel, outlasting Adam Sevada 7-6 in a pulsating final.
Buntz dropped just two legs heading into the semifinals, where he defeated David Cameron 7-4. The final saw him twice lose multi-leg leads but hold throw under pressure to claim his eighth CDC title – and settle the score with Sevada after recent defeats.
Sevada, meanwhile, looked sharp all day. He dispatched Scott Estle and Patrick Guariglia early, steamrolled Jason Brandon 6-1 in the quarters, and held off Leonard Gates 7-6 in a tense semi.
Buntz’s 92.14 average over 43 legs led the event, with Cameron second at 87.58. Sevada landed a dozen 180s to top the charts, ahead of Gates.
It was a day for the big boys – the top four seeds filled the semi-finals. Friday’s surprise winner Darryl Christie made the last eight before bowing out to Gates.
Next stop: Chicago, August 23-24, for CDC Events 11–13. Buckle up. It’s supposed to be windy over there.
