The Aggies weren't favored to land this elite lineman, but they still landed the commitment regardless.

Texas A&M had some traction to land a five-star recruit once again, and the Aggies finished the job — once again. First it was Brandon Arrington, then Tristian Givens, and now another elite defenseman is heading to College Station.
Bryce Perry-Wright is a five-star defensive lineman from Buford, Ga. and is the No. 38 overall recruit from the class of 2026. He's also the No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 5 student-athlete out of Georgia. The rising senior was unanimously projected by 247Sports to commit to Clemson. He was also considering Miami and Texas in his decision, and he visited Texas A&M and its in-state rival over the last two weekends of official visit season.
However, Perry-Wright announced that the Aggies were the best fit for him.
As a junior in 2024, he recorded 57 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. He was consistent between his sophomore and junior years, but had slightly more production in his latest season.
According to 247Sports' Grady Jarrett, Perry-Wright is:
"A quick-twitched, pocket-pusher with impressive get-off and body control that has created negative plays since he was a [high school] freshman . . . Lacks the ideal mass and measurables, but makes up for it with his mobility and energy. Excellent snap anticipation tends to give him an advantage while lively hands allow him to maneuver his way into the backfield and finish the job."
Jarret also wrote that the transition from high school to NCAA should not be too jarring for the rising senior and his abilities will transfer over just fine, likely playing on the interior. Perry-Wright will be an effective player for the Aggies and has "game-wrecking potential."
The latest commit joins fellow five-stars Arrington and Givens, both of whom were recruited as defensemen. Head coach Mike Elko's defense for the years to come, needless to say, will be a force to be reckoned with.
