David Luiz bounces back at Paphos FC
The former Brazilian international defender David Luiz is taking on a fresh challenge. At 38, he has signed with Paphos FC, a first-division club in Cyprus.
The club made his signing official this weekend. Luiz has penned a two-year contract, marking his return to European football after several seasons in Brazil. Since leaving Arsenal in 2021, David Luiz had joined Flamengo, where he played 132 matches, scored four goals and provided two assists. He then signed for Fortaleza, also in Brazil, with a contract running until 2026.
