Three players Tottenham could sign after James Maddison injury

Tottenham could be without a key player after James Maddison's preseason injury.

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison

Tottenham played out an emotional draw against Newcastle, as Son Heung-min played in his last game for the Hotspurs.

The game also saw James Maddison suffer what Thomas Frank called a "brutal" injury.

With the Premier League season rapidly approaching, Tottenham could need another midfielder depending on Maddison's prognosis.

Who could Tottenham sign to replace Maddison?

Tottenham have been linked with Jack Grealish, as the Englishman is looking to secure playing time away from Manchester City.

Grealish is prepared to take a pay cut, but several other Premier League sides have shown an interest in the attacker.

A move to Tottenham could help revive Grealish's career, as he's looking to get back into the England squad before the 2026 World Cup.

Another option for Thomas Frank could be Harvey Elliot from Liverpool.

Elliot is also looking to secure more playing time, as Arne Slot has built an empire of attacking options, with Elliot being demoted down the pecking order.

Elliot could be a cut-price option for Tottenham, as Liverpool would like to secure more funds before potentially launching another bid for Alexander Isak.

A third option for Tottenham could be Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, although his signature could be the hardest to get.

Eze was previously linked to Tottenham and Arsenal, and it seemed more likely the Englishman would move to Arsenal.

The 27-year-old reportedly wants to leave Palace, but the Eagles will likely demand a hefty price for their star attacker.
