There isn’t a personality in the college basketball world quite like Connecticut Huskies head coach Dan Hurley.

His rise to prominence as one of the game’s elite coaches certainly didn’t come without its fair share of trials and tribulations. Now, Hurley is sharing his full story in his upcoming book, *Never Stop*, set to release on Sept. 30.

Hurley once had NBA dreams, but during his playing days at Seton Hall, he fell into a deep period of personal struggle. Meanwhile, his brother Bobby Hurley was thriving, which created a moment of reckoning for Dan.

“In a way, I wasn’t sure if I would ever play again,” Hurley said, reflecting on stepping away from the sport briefly at age 20. “Basketball was really making me feel bad about myself—my failures and struggles—because my brother [Bobby] was winning national championships and heading to the NBA, and I couldn’t get out of my own way. We both did the same drills, played for the same coach. I just couldn’t handle the failure after all the time I invested.”

Hurley added, “I was just struggling mentally and emotionally with the challenges I was facing on the court. I put myself into a very bad mental place, into depression, over the fact that my career wasn’t playing out the way I hoped it would.”

While all of that and more is expected to be detailed in his book, Hurley also shared some exciting news on Thursday: he’s officially partnered with Premier Collectibles to release a limited number of signed copies to the public.

“What’s up everyone, Coach Hurley here. Hope everyone is having a great summer, but I’m really excited about something that’s happening this fall. We’re launching this project that’s been a labor of love for me over the last year. I partnered with an incredible author, Ian O’Connor, to produce this book that I think a lot of people are going to enjoy,” he said in a video message.

“The leadership lessons, the life story, and the honesty of what it’s taken in my basketball journey to get here—it’s all in there. I’ve also partnered with Premier Collectibles and signed a limited number of books that will be available... I can’t wait for you to read this.”

Congratulations poured in for the two-time national champion head coach, who is set to return for his seventh season leading the Huskies in the coming months.

"This is sure to be a Best Seller! Authenticity at its Finest!!" A fan said.

Someone else added, "Congrats coach!!"
