The Philadelphia Phillies could've traded for a two-time All-Star at the trade deadline that many fans begged for.
The Philadelphia Phillies made an interesting trade at Thursday's deadline, adding Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader. The 31-year-old outfielder was hitting .258 with an OPS+ of 112 in 96 games with the Twins this season.
Philadelphia needed to add outfield help, and Bader was a great option since the Phillies' top trade candidates weren't coming off the market.
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan was rumored to be traded, but Cleveland stayed put and didn't trade the outfielder.
If the Guardians had traded Kwan, he could've been a member of the Phillies. Matt Davis from Fansided listed Kwan as the player Phillies fans "begged" for but didn't get.
"Multiple teams were interested in Kwan, and the Phillies seemed like one of the few that could make it happen," Davis wrote. "They were among the teams named by The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal as in on Kwan after the Emmanuel Clase gambling investigation news broke and Cleveland became sellers."

Kwan is a two-time All-Star and would've been a great addition to Philadelphia's lineup. The 27-year-old outfielder knows how to get on base with his elite contact skills and can play some great defense.
In four Major League Baseball seasons, Kwan has won three Golden Glove awards, making iconic plays in left field all season long.
The Phillies could've been the favorites to win the World Series with Kwan, but Bader should be able to serve a significant role on the team.
